Welcome to
Dr. Miki's research group web site, the Structural Concrete Laboratory in the department of Civil Engineering at Kobe University.
Ours is
a research group targeting at structural concrete. We aim at the study and development at structural concrete mechanics and its application in practical design. Research targets of our research group are from aging structures which suffers various environmental actions such as steel corrosion and alkali-silica reaction (ASR) to the seismic issues in existing concrete structures. To evaluate the performance of these structures, we also interests developing the constitutive models incorporating into numerical nonlinear analysis. In the experiment, we develops techniques by using an image-based detection. Applications of new materials and new structural components such as fiber reinforce concrete, prestress concrete, and precast concrete structural members are also investigated by the collaborative research with out group and companies in the construction industry.
